Busy Bee – Boat Shed – November 23rd

The Fremantle scouting community is actively repairing, restoring and refurbishing the scout hall at Camp Waller.
At a busy bee :- parents, Venturers, cubs and scouts work to clear the boatshed and initiate some maintenance and repairs to the boats in preparation for more journeys. In addition to completing work, it can be a wonderful social event.
Busy Bee coordinated by Salty,
- Take Storm Petrel out, turn over and check condition, put on a trailer, cover and up to compound or float around
- Clean Petrol / fuel cupboard
- Life Jackets – ensure FSS on all (whistled removed, soundness checked, neatly arranged)
- Pacers out and clean behind, check trolley and wheel conditions (Pacer 2 trolley needs front stand and new tube, others good)
- Canoe – Bungs all fitted and repairs
- Blowie – New Numbers (GG545?)
- Prawn – Vents to pain and us to place labels
- Les Boat – Place labels
- Pacer Masts – floats on all
- Clean out boat shelves and label (lots of sorting down, need boatie to help sort sails, etc.
- New signage for crane operations
- Second marks on concrete for pacer ramp openings
- Radios – check charging stations all operational – Leaders shed
- Check and discard flares
- Check Pacer bumpers and polish / touch up fiberglass
- Courageous – New parts and re-varnish
- Courageous – Rudder repair
- Getaway – prepare mooring ropes and shackles GEt up to EFYC pen and
- Patch concrete on the front Deck
- Repair front of hall seats – New planks
- Check and clean up all anchors
- Empty and clean out oar barrell (done)
- sails mark
- Oil / lube hanks and check
- Sail inventory
- Get boats in and clean up
- Remove Sam Pereil rudder and clean
- Rough clean hull of 22’s
- Sort out mast riggings
- Mark pacer parts
